LIVE LAB

A product, not just a post.

The story page should work as proof: what was built, why it matters, how it can translate into client work, and where the visitor should go next.

THE PROJECT IN 30 SECONDS

Irish history you can move through.

What it is

A free interactive timeline spanning Ireland's story from c. 8000 BC to 2024.

What is inside

314 researched moments with imagery, context, evidence links and guided chapter routes.

Who it is for

Anyone who wants to explore Irish history visually instead of reading a conventional chronology.

WHY THIS EXISTS

Proof before polish.

Irish Tape is published as a studio lab, not as a client case study. That distinction matters: the page can show method, judgement and technical depth without inventing client results.

  • Live V2 experience available as a studio lab.
  • 314 sourced moments structured into a navigable historical archive.
  • Runtime image duplication was removed after an editorial asset audit.
  • Mobile and desktop production checks were treated as part of the creative system.

THE BRIEF

The problem.

Irish history is dense, emotionally charged and easy to flatten into a plain timeline.

The interface needed to feel cinematic without hiding the factual source trail.

The experience had to keep motion, audio and visual atmosphere under control on mobile devices.

THE METHOD

The build logic.

Built the experience around a tape/archive metaphor: chapters, transport, evidence cards and a deliberate sense of entering a record.

Separated the historical data model from the visual scene so the archive can grow without rebuilding the interaction model.

Created editorial rules for images: direct evidence where possible, representative imagery only when clearly labelled, and no invented proof.

Added production gates for source validation, visual coverage, mobile geometry, scroll/state transitions and runtime performance.

THE VALUE

What this proves.

A live immersive product page that demonstrates how Rain Digit can turn research-heavy content into an experience.

A reusable pattern for future client stories: proof first, atmosphere second, clear enquiry path always visible.

A strong internal example for tourism, culture, education, property storytelling and premium digital launches.
